Turkmenistan participates in the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers in Tashkent
The capital of Uzbekistan is hosting the 26th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the member Countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (ECO) on Monday. The delegation of Turkmenistan to the forum is headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.
The Tashkent meeting is also attended by the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev, ECO Secretary General Khusrav Noziri, as well as heads of a number of international organizations also received invitations to the meeting.
The delegates considered the possibilities of developing further cooperation between the states in the field of trade, transport, investment, green economy, digitalization, energy and other areas. The results of Uzbekistan's activities during the chairmanship of the organization were also discussed.
