WHO presented an application to increase physical activity during the 2022 FIFA World Cup

Within the framework of the project "Healthy Football World Cup-2022 — creating a legacy for sport and health", the World Health Organization, the Ministry of Health of Qatar and the International Football Federation FIFA presented a new digital application to increase physical activity and promote the health of children and youth.
GenMove Season 1 is a motion tracking game application using advanced technology combined with artificial intelligence. It allows you to perform a number of movements that develop various physical skills during video games.
Being created on the basis of football training, game movements are suitable for children with any level of physical fitness and include jumping, bending and kicking. They can be performed both indoors and outdoors.
GenMove Season 1 can be downloaded from the official app website. It is available in English, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, Russian and French and works in real time. The GenMove initiative is teaming up with another FIFA themed campaign — "Bring the Moves". She encourages young people to share their movements on the Internet to celebrate goals scored and to form a circle of active youth throughout the World Championship.
According to WHO recommendations, all children and adolescents should perform aerobic exercise for an average of 60 minutes a day, including exercises that strengthen muscles and bones, at least 3 times a week.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus noted that such digital innovations can become a powerful tool for stimulating the younger generation to lead an active lifestyle, noting that regular physical activity brings great benefits to physical and mental health throughout life.
According to WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Health Promotion and goalkeeper of the Brazilian national team Alisson Becker, technology opens the world to everyone, but sometimes it leads to the fact that you sit still for a long time. The GenMove platform will help to cope with this.
