The lawsuit against Elon Musk has begun in a San Francisco court. The jury is considering a fraud case. The victims are the shareholders of Tesla, the Financial Times reports.

People are demanding damages because of Musk's tweets. Earlier, he planned to buy back Tesla shares at $ 420 apiece, after which investors rushed to buy up sharply more expensive shares. After a while, the value of the securities collapsed and shareholders claim that they lost billions because of Musk's tweets.

The defendants deny the charges. The process is expected to last about three weeks.
