Representatives of Turkmenistan are participating in the first international Congress of influential Women, which is being held in Tehran, the Iranian News Agency reports.

The event brought together over 300 women, including from Russia, China, Australia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Pakistan, Cameroon, Serbia, Armenia, Sweden, Bulgaria, South Africa, Syria, Lebanon.

Among them are cultural figures, scientists, representatives of various ministries and departments, first ladies of countries, celebrities.

The Congress aims to unite the efforts of women to implement projects aimed at strengthening their role in society. During the Congress, they also met with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi.
