Xi Jinping congratulated Chinese citizens on the Year of the Rabbit by video call
The Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping held a personal online dialogue with the public to congratulate Chinese citizens on the upcoming Spring Holiday. This year, the Chinese New Year comes on January 22.
By video call, the head of the People's Republic of China contacted medical workers, elderly people in a nursing home, workers in remote fields, employees at railway stations, as well as sellers and buyers, residents of rural areas.
He wished the Chinese people a healthy and happy life in the year of the Rabbit and expressed hope that the country will continue to prosper.
"Last year was not easy. We have overcome all kinds of difficulties and challenges, achieving new successes on all fronts," the Chinese president said and called for joint efforts to achieve progress in the coming year.
