From 5th to 31st October this year, Internet providers "TurkmenTelecom" and Ashgabat GTS are holding a joint action to reduce prices for unlimited Internet. Use the new tariffs will be available to both the previously connected web users, and new subscribers. The transition to reduced tariffs is the same as with the usual change of tariff plan or a new connection.

New prices

Unlimited at speeds up to 256 Kbit/s - 135 manats per month (previously 190 manat). Unlimited at a speed of up to 512 Kbit/s - 150 manats (previously 250 manat). Unlimited at speed up to 2048 Kbit/s - 250 manats (previously such service was not available). For rural residents, unlimited connection at a speed of up to 256 Kbit/s will be provided for 75 manats per month.

Internet Development in Turkmenistan

According to statistical data, by September 2017th the number of users connected to the Internet using ADSL technology compared to January 2016 increased by 230%. The festive discounts of October, which national Internet providers devoted to the 26th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, will also affect the growth of the number of Internet users in the country, especially in rural areas. It is also worth noting that in Turkmenistan there is a large network of Internet cafes, in crowded public places WI-FI is provided and mobile Internet is widely distributed, through which the bulk of traffic passes.
