About 500 Austrian companies are actively operating in Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, Austria's trade attache in Kazakhstan Lisa Kronreif said, Trend reports.

Advantage Austria, the official organization for promoting the development of Austrian foreign trade, plays an important role in expanding economic ties between Austria and the Central Asian republics.

"We help companies from Austria to build relationships with local companies, organizations and government agencies and organize trade missions, individual business trips, networking events and exhibitions," the attache said.

At the moment, Advantage Austria has about 100 offices in more than 70 countries around the world.
