Turkmenistan became a participant of the virtual summit "Voice of the Global South"


The country was represented at the international forum held in India on January 12-13 by Nurmuhammet Amannepesov, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of science and education in the government. The summit was attended by the heads of 120 states representing Asia, Africa, Latin America and the CIS countries, the Indian Embassy in Turkmenistan said in a statement.
In their presentations, participants encouraged countries to share best practices in human resource development, humanitarian capacity building and digital public goods in education, skills development and career development.
Continuing the topic, the Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister noted that in Turkmenistan education is an inalienable constitutional right of every person. Turkmen citizens are guaranteed the opportunity to receive quality education throughout their lives, regardless of nationality, skin color, gender, origin, property and official status, place of residence, language, religion, political beliefs or other circumstances. Age and health are also not a hindrance to getting an education, Amannepesov said in his speech.
In conclusion, he said that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to cooperation and promising partnerships with the countries of the global south.
