Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations with joint events
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Tashkent Yazguly Mammedov met on Thursday with acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.
During the meeting, topical issues of bilateral relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership were considered. Particular attention was paid to the comprehensive implementation of the agreements reached as a result of high-level visits, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Specific proposals were discussed to increase the indicators of trade turnover, accelerate the implementation of joint projects in the areas of trade and industrial cooperation. The interlocutors confirmed the readiness of both countries to intensify cultural and humanitarian ties.
The diplomats also exchanged views on the schedule of joint events, including within the framework of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were officially established on February 7, 1993.
