American councils will hire a teaching assistant for participants of the 2023 exchange program
American Councils in Turkmenistan have announced a vacancy for a teaching assistant for participants of the 2023 exchange program.
The assistant should support the teacher in preparing the participants of the exchange program using materials from American Councils; share his experience as a graduate, as well as introduce students to US culture and life in the host American family.
Having completed a four-day teacher training seminar in April and thoroughly familiarized with the lesson plans, the assistant should actively participate in student training meetings, conduct appropriate sessions with the participation of graduates.
Qualification:
The teaching assistant must be a graduate of the exchange program (FLEX/YES) with a completed secondary education and have previously taught at least one cycle of preparing students for departure.
It should also be available for training from two to three PDO cycles in June or July 2023 (determined by the decision of the director of the program center).
Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work with staff of different ages and cultural backgrounds are welcome.
