The University of Engineering Technologies of Turkmenistan named after Oguzkhan strengthens cooperation with the Japanese University of Tsukuba. The cooperation of these universities is a promising direction of the Turkmen-Japanese dialogue in the field of education. A new stage in the joint work of twinning universities has been reflected in the Draft long-term cooperation agreement that includes an increasing of the number of teachers from Japan at the Turkmen University, expansion of spectrum of interaction between students of the two states, the strengthening of partnerships that has successfully developed in recent years.Eziz OVEZOV
For three years, the Turkmen youth actively participates in the Japanese Program to strengthen friendly relations for students - MIRAI, which brings together students from all over the world and gives them the opportunity to exchange valuable experiences in various applied scientific research.
This year, the students of the International University for Humanities and Development, as well as students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan have become the participants of the Program. During the events, the students attended lectures and seminars at the Keio University, which is considered one of the most prestigious universities in Tokyo, and became more familiar with the science and culture of Japan.
The MIRAI program is one of the many areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan in the educational sphere. Among the joint projects is the opening of the Global Japan office at the University for Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan and providing the Days of Japanese Culture in Turkmenistan, organized with the support of Turkmen universities.
Cooperation with Japan in the educational sphere is stimulated by the Turkmen government every year, since the Land of the Rising Sun is one of the most famous and technically developed countries, which has a colossal scientific base. The conditions to promote the Japanese language are created in Turkmenistan in order to ensure closer bilateral cooperation, as many scientific works of scientists from the Land of the Rising Sun are published in this language.
Today, a solid foundation has been laid for the youth of Turkmenistan, which is able to achieve high academic qualifications, broaden the horizons of understanding of the scheme of universe, and make scientific and technical discoveries. Close relationships of Turkmen and Japanese universities supporting this foundation, help students to participate in the global scientific dialogue, and open new opportunities for personal development.
