For obscene language in public places in Kazakhstan, arrests to be appointed up to 30 days


Obscene language in public places in Kazakhstan in the spring will be considered disorder conduct, and from March 2023, the country's authorities will increase the fine for violating this article by 4 times, and arrest can be imposed up to 30 days, Kazakhstan Today reports.
They will be fined not only for swearing in a public place, but also for vandalism and damage to property, according to changes that will be made to a number of articles of the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes, as well as the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO) of Kazakhstan, the report said.
In the new edition, obscene language in public places, insults and harassment of individuals, as well as desecration of buildings, structures, residential premises, public places, property in transport and in public places and other similar actions that express disrespect for others and violating public order and tranquility of individuals will be considered disorder conduct.
The fine for disorder conduct in the new edition will be 20 MCI (69 thousand tenge), arrest will be attached from 5 to 30 days. Currently, for such a violation, the court imposes a fine of 5 MCI (17,250 tenge) or arrest for up to 15 days.
