New Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan arrives in Ashgabat


New Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ashgabat, Azizbek Madmarov, was received on Tuesday by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, to whom he presented copies of his credentials.
The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his work. During the conversation, the diplomats considered issues of strengthening relations in various areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, stressed the importance of contacts at the highest and high levels and spoke in favor of intensifying ties at the level of foreign ministries.
Attention was paid to the activities of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Kyrgyz commission for trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The prospects for cooperation in the electric power and transport and logistics sectors, as well as in the cultural sphere were discussed, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Azizbek Madmarov was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan by decree of President Sadyr Japarov at the end of November 2022. Prior to this appointment, he worked as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
