Pilgrims performing Hajj in 2023 must undergo all stages of vaccination against COVID-19, the Saudi Gazette reports, citing a representative of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
The report published by the agency says that in addition to the timely coronavirus vaccine, pilgrims should also have vaccinations against seasonal flu and meningitis.
According to the sanitary rules developed specifically for pilgrims during the holy Hajj, participants should not suffer from chronic or infectious diseases.
As ORIENT previously reported, this year Saudi Arabia cancelled a number of coronavirus and age restrictions on performing Hajj.
