China daily: the world welcomes the resumption of outbound tourism in China

The world community actively accepts tourists from China in connection with the resumption of outbound tourism by the country, China Daily reports.
As of January 5, 2023, bookings for trips abroad within seven days have increased significantly, and the average cost of an order has increased by 32% compared to the same period last year, according to the data of the company.
Experts predict that China's resumption of outbound tourism after the easing of coronavirus restrictions will contribute to the development of world tourism and the recovery of the global economy. After all, before the pandemic, China's contribution to the development of outbound tourism was significant. So, in 2019, China served an average of about 12 million departing air passengers per month.
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdek Techo Hun Sen said the country is very pleased with the return of Chinese tourists and added that their presence is vital for Cambodia's tourism and economic growth.
Saudi Arabia, one of China's main trading partners, also reacted positively to the resumption of outbound tourism in China. Saudi Arabia's Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib expressed hope that more Chinese tourists will get acquainted with the heritage and culture of Saudi Arabia.
According to World Bank forecasts, China's economy will grow by 4.3% this year and by 5% in 2024. This is the first major forecast made after the country entered a new phase of response to COVID-19.
