Astrakhan Region delegation to take part in Turkmen-Russian business forum in Ashgabat
This was announced by the Minister of External Relations of the Astrakhan region Vladimir Golovkov during a working meeting with the Turkmen Consul in Astrakhan Nury Golliev.
"The most important issues of our cooperation in various spheres will be discussed next week at the Turkmen-Russian business forum in Ashgabat, which will be attended by a delegation from our region," the Russian minister said. The Consul of Turkmenistan, in turn, promised to provide the necessary assistance in preparing for this important international event," the message published on the official website of the Ministry of External Relations of the Astrakhan region reads.
The upcoming 2023 will be marked by the implementation of important joint projects, including the activation of the international transport corridor "North - South", the establishment of a regular shipping line between the sea harbor of the Astrakhan region and the port of Turkmenbashi, as well as the construction of a logistics center of Turkmenistan in the Astrakhan region, it was noted at the meeting.
On the eve of the Ashgabat business forum next week, Astrakhan will host a working meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Russia and shipping companies of the Russian Federation with a Turkmen delegation, which includes heads of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and representatives of Turkmen shipping and logistics companies. It is also planned to discuss the prospects of opening regular shipping lines between Turkmenistan and Russia in the Caspian Sea, the report says.
