The Turkmen tennis player reached the final of the Asian Championship in Bahrain

A pupil of the Ashgabat Tennis Academy, Ilima Guseynova has made her way to the final of the Asian Junior Under—14 Championship - ITF Asia 14&U Development Championships, which takes place in Bahrain, Isa city.

She beat an athlete from Kyrgyzstan, the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan told ORIENT. In the semifinals, Ilima faced a tennis player from Uzbekistan, whom she beat in three sets.

The final game will take place on January 12.

Pupils of the Ashgabat Tennis Academy Imran Ahundov and Selim Chagylov will contest the bronze medal of the tournament in doubles.

A total of 4 players represent the Turkmen team at the tournament.
