The second week of 2023 for Turkmen citizens began with snow. In some areas of the country, the temperature was set several degrees below the climatic norm.
Precipitation will continue for several days. According to the publication "Meteojournal", heavy snow is expected on the night of January 9-10, in the afternoon of January 10 in the south-east of Turkmenistan in the Mary region, in places in the extreme south of Lebap, with the formation of snow cover up to 10-15 centimeters.
In the mountainous areas of the Western and Central Kopetdag, the snow cover can reach 10 centimeters.
