The pipeline from Turkmenistan to China has provided gas to 500 million Chinese residents

The gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to China, which also passes through the countries of Central Asia, has delivered 423.2 billion cubic meters of gas to China since its commissioning in 2009. During this period, it provided 500 million residents of 27 regions of the country and Hong Kong with blue fuel, according to People's daily.
At the same time, Turkmenistan's share in the total volume of natural gas exported through the pipeline is 350 billion cubic meters, that is, more than 83%, thus making Turkmen gas a key in the energy balance of China.
Following the results of the state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to China, Turkmenistan and China agreed to accelerate the implementation of joint energy projects.
