Turkmenistan and China will accelerate the implementation of joint projects in the gas field


The Governments of Turkmenistan and China will accelerate the implementation of projects for the construction of line D of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, industrial development of the Galkynysh gas field and other joint initiatives in the gas field.
This is stated in the joint statement of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping on the results of the high-level talks.
The parties also stressed that in the future they will fully implement the existing agreements in the oil and gas sector and promote the progress of negotiations on gas cooperation.
Following the results of the Turkmen-Chinese negotiations at the highest level, memoranda of understanding were also signed between the Turkmengaz State Concern and CNPC, as well as the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas and CNPC.
Turkmenistan remains a key supplier of pipeline gas to China. In January-November 2022, China imported Turkmen blue fuel worth $9.28 billion.
