Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed the agenda of the OTS summit by phone


On Monday, Chairman of the upper house of the Turkmen parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed by phone the agenda for the summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held at the end of this week in Samarkand, according to the official website of the Head of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The interlocutors also discussed topical issues of further development of Turkmen-Uzbek relations.
Highly appreciating the fruitful results of the events and meetings at the highest level during the official visit of the Uzbek leader to Turkmenistan on October 20-21 this year, the parties noted the importance of the practical implementation of the agreements reached and signed agreements, including through the continuation of active inter-parliamentary contacts.
Earlier in September, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Turkmenistan would become a full member of the organization at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand. Currently, the country is an observer in OTS.
