The project on additional gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Europe will be presented on February 3 within the framework of the meeting of energy ministers of the countries participating in the Southern Gas Corridor, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said, Interfax reports.

"This is a project that will allow pumping additional volumes of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Europe with minimal funds and immediately. At the initiative of Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Austria joined this project," the Bulgarian head of state said.

In turn, the head of the Turkish Ministry of Energy, Fatih Donmez, said that "Turkey is ready to assist in the supply of gas, whether from the Caspian Sea region, the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean."

Negotiations on expanding natural gas supplies to Europe are accompanied by plans to connect Turkmenistan to the pan-European infrastructure to diversify the supply of natural gas to the energy market of the Old World.
