Chinese Ambassador to the US Qin Gang has been appointed Chinese Foreign Minister. This was reported on Friday by China Central Television.

Qin Gang replaced Wang Yi, who had been the Chinese foreign minister since 2013.

On the same day, by the relevant decree of the President of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was dismissed in connection with the transfer to another job.

Bakhtiyor Saidov, who worked as Ambassador to China in 2017-2021, and as Minister of Public Education of the Republic in 2021-2022, has been appointed Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
