The football world has lost a King - Pele has passed away

Brazilian three-time world champion Pele has died at the age of 82.
“We love you endlessly. Rest in peace,” the football player’s daughter Kelly Nascimentou wrote on her Instagram. The cause of death was organ failure due to colon cancer.
On November 29, the ex-forward of the Brazilian national team was hospitalized due to deteriorating health. He was diagnosed with kidney and heart failure.
According to media reports, the chemotherapy he underwent in connection with the treatment ceased to give the desired result.

In the final tournaments of the World Cup, he played a total of 14 matches and scored 12 goals in them, including 3 in victorious finals.
At the club level, Pele played for the Brazilian “Santos”, with whom he won the Copa Libertadores and the Intercontinental Cup twice (in 1962 and 1963), and the American New York “Cosmos”
He was recognized as the best football player of the 20th century by the FIFA Football Commission, World Soccer and France Football, as well as the best athlete of the 20th century by the IOC.
