President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree to postpone the day off on the occasion of the New Year holiday.

According to the document, the day off on January 1, 2023, which falls on Sunday, is transferred to January 2, Monday.

This decision was made "in order to create favorable conditions for the solemn celebration of the New Year and a good rest for the population."

All institutions, businesses and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, are ordered to enforce the order, which was released on Thursday in the national news service's evening newscast.
