Uzbekistan intends to speed up the launch of the border trade zone with Turkmenistan
The tasks to accelerate the launch of the Uzbek-Turkmen border trade zone were assigned to responsible managers at a meeting at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, which took place on Wednesday, the press service of the department said.
Recall that the ceremony of launching the construction of facilities for the Khorezm-Dashoguz border trade zone took place in October during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan.
The meeting addressed issues related to the allocation of a land plot of 3 hectares in the Shavat district of the Khorezm region, the development and coordination of design estimates with all interested ministries and departments, and the involvement of commercial banks to finance the project.
Aspects of interaction with the Turkmen side were discussed in the framework of coordinating the modes of operation of the trade zone, the application of benefits and preferences in tax administration, customs and border control. The need for consistent and high-quality joint study of issues arising during the implementation of the project was emphasized.
As a result of the meeting, the attention of responsible managers was focused on the importance and prospects of the soonest launch of the shopping center, and in this context, additional tasks were set as part of accelerating the implementation of the project.
