Population and housing census completed in Turkmenistan
Turkmenistan has completed a continuous population and housing census in 2022, which was conducted from December 17 to 27 to obtain comprehensive data on the number, demographic composition and social living conditions of the country's population.
The data obtained as a result of the census will be used in the development of national programs and strategies of Turkmenistan, the formation of the country's social policy.
The collected information also plays an important role in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners, allowing potential investors to obtain reliable information about the main socio-economic indicators of the country.
For the first time, the campaign was held using digital technologies — modern equipment with specialized software. This should increase the accuracy of the final data array and provide new opportunities for analysis.
Earlier, the official Ashgabat expressed readiness to study the proposals of experts on the further publication of the results of the census, in accordance with international norms and principles.
