Turkey is going to produce 540 billion cubic meters of Black Sea gas in 2023

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the use of the Black Sea natural gas in the amount of 540 billion cubic meters in the first quarter of 2023, RIA Novosti reports.
"We will use 540 billion cubic meters of natural gas discovered by us in the Black Sea in our homes in the first quarter of 2023," the head of the republic said, speaking to students at the Ataturk University.
Earlier it was reported that Turkey will invest $ 10 billion in plans to extract gas from the Black Sea, and will receive the first influx of natural gas in 2023. At the same time, the head of the Turkish Ministry of Energy noted that the cost of gas volumes in the found fields of the Black Sea could be $ 400 billion.
Turkey's interest in expanding and diversifying natural gas to its market is explained by the country's desire to become a gas hub in Europe. Recently, the Turkish leader announced plans to withdraw Turkmen gas to the European energy market.
