The first ladies of Turkey and Azerbaijan visited the exhibition of Turkmen arts and crafts
The first ladies of Turkey, Emine Erdogan, and wife of the President of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, visited the exhibition of Turkmen crafts, accompanied by Ogulgerek Berdimuhamedova, wife of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Turkmenistan.
The distinguished guests toured the exposition site, where national jewelry, traditional and pictorial carpets, as well as artistic canvases reflecting the folk rituals and way of life of the Turkmens, their cultural identity were presented.
As a memento of this visit to Turkmenistan, the spouses of the Turkish and Azerbaijani leaders were presented with items of arts and crafts, and they also joined the process of carpet weaving on the loom.
The guests also watched the display of national clothes.
