A vaccine against allergies to cats was developed by Russian scientists
The drug has no analogues in the world, it is safe and effective against all cat allergens. A team of scientists from Sechenov University together with experts from the Vienna Medical University have developed a unique vaccine against cat allergies," the Russian media write with reference to the press service of Sechenov University.
The drug has already successfully passed preclinical studies. Next year, specialists will begin clinical and toxicological tests, upon completion of which the vaccine will be officially registered.
Today, at least 30% of the adult population suffer from cat allergies in the world. Clinically, this manifests itself in the form of nasal congestion, cough, difficulty breathing, lacrimation, sometimes itching, dryness and rash.
