Ambassador of Sierra Leone accredited to Ashgabat
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sierra Leone Kamar Ali Badar has been accredited in Turkmenistan. On Wednesday, Gulshat Mammedova, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Turkmen Parliament, received the Ambassador’s credentials signed by President Julius Maado Bio.
On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, she congratulated the diplomat on taking office and wished him great success. During the meeting, issues of development of relations between the two states in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and educational fields, as well as in the field of sports and tourism were touched upon.
The protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Sierra Leone was signed on June 15, 2020. The ceremony was held in the building of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Iran, where Qamar Ali Badar is the ambassador of his country. He also put his signature in the protocol on diplomatic relations.
