American UGT Renewables may build solar power plants in Turkmenistan


Representatives of the developer of solar photovoltaic batteries and energy storage UGT Renewables announced the possibility to build solar power plants in Turkmenistan with a capacity of 1000-1200 MW during a recent visit to Ashgabat to participate in the Turkmen-American business forum, ORIENT correspondent reports.
To discuss the implementation of this project, it is proposed to organize a business mission of the UGT Renewables Consortium and Hyundai Engineering Co. to Ashgabat and hold a presentation of the project in Turkmenenergo and the Ministry of Finance.
The company intends to provide two years of post-launch operation and maintenance for the completion and maintenance of new power plants and the installation of software for Turkmenenergo brigades.
The consortium's partners, including the Swedish corporation SEK and the Export-Import Bank of Korea, can provide financial support in the implementation of the project.
