UAE delegation to discuss creation of joint Business Council in Turkmenistan


A delegation of the United Arab Emirates headed by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the country will visit Turkmenistan in the near future, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov said at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.
During the visit, it is planned to prepare a working plan for cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the UAE for 2023-2024, as well as to consider the creation of a joint Business Council. Its first meeting is scheduled to be held next year. According to the report, a regular meeting of the Joint Committee on Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE is also scheduled to be held in 2023.
The creation of a joint Business Council will contribute to the improvement of economic cooperation between the two countries, the expansion of ties between entrepreneurs and business communities, as well as the creation of a favorable investment climate.
Also, within the framework of the visit, it is proposed to organize consultations between the Ministry of Culture and representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan with representatives of relevant structures of the UAE. In order to expand the Turkmen-Emirati cooperation, it is proposed to develop a Roadmap of actions.
