The Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan discussed the legal basis for interaction with law enforcement agencies, as well as issues related to the independence of courts.
This was reported by the official website of the Turkmen Migration Service following a seminar organized by the UNDP Office in Ashgabat within the framework of the Project named "Improving the institutional capacity of the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan".
During the event, representatives of Turkmen government agencies and international experts raised issues related to the role of lawyers and law enforcement officials, as well as got acquainted with international experience in this area.
The parties agreed to expand cooperation and hold regular meetings within the framework of reputable international organizations.
