Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Emir of Qatar and watched the 2022 FIFA World Cup match
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during his visit to Doha on December 3, met with Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
“During the meeting, the state and prospects of interstate cooperation were discussed. The parties were unanimous in their opinion that the current visit of the Turkmen delegation to Qatar will serve the further development of relations between the two countries,” TDH said in a statement.
It is noted that the heads of the two states confirmed their desire to reach a new level of bilateral relations and spoke in favor of strengthening the positions of Turkmenistan and Qatar in the geopolitical and geo-economic space.
The meeting took place at the Khalifa International Stadium, which became the arena of the World Cup. Later, Serdar Berdimuhamedov watched the match of 1/8 of the 2022 World Cup between the teams of the Netherlands and the USA.
Then the Turkmen leader left for Ashgabat.
