Turkmennebit has recorded an influx of gas at the Uzynada offshore field
Turkmennebit State Concern has received an influx of natural gas and condensate from the Uzynada field located in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, TDH reports following a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.
Within the framework of the mutual understanding agreement between the Turkmen state Oil Concern and the Areti group of companies for the development of Uzynada, the company is expected to participate in the provision of services for the development of this field.
As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted during the meeting, the identification of hydrocarbon reserves in the promising oil and gas fields of the Caspian Sea is designed to give impetus to further dynamic economic development and ensure an increase in the production potential of the industry.
According to preliminary data, Uzynada's reserves amount to about 5 million tons of oil. Drilling operations at the field have been underway since the summer of this year. To date, oil works are underway in 4 out of 32 license blocks in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.
