Turkmenistan is represented at the session of the Council of the International Organization for Migration


Delegation of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan takes part in the meeting of the 113th session of the Council of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Geneva, Switzerland.
Speaking at the meeting, the Turkmen side focused on the country's efforts to eradicate statelessness, contribution to the fight against the migration crisis caused by climate change.
The problem of migration related to the deterioration of environmental living conditions and climate change requires an integrated and multilateral approach, in connection with which the Turkmen delegation noted the importance of intensifying Turkmenistan's cooperation with the International Organization for Migration.
The 113th session of the IOM Council will last until December 2. The agenda of the meeting includes consideration of the issue of admission of new members and observers, the Organization's budget for 2023, etc.
