Pakistan is again facing an acute shortage of natural gas

With the arrival of winter, Pakistan once again faced a reduction in supplies, an increase in demand and an acute shortage of natural gas, the Pakistani newspaper DAWN writes.
The population of the country, meanwhile, is not ready to change the old way of life and reduce gas consumption. And despite the fact that the energy crisis affected Pakistan not for the first time, enterprises were not ready for a cold winter again.
Senior officials said that the country has no other choice but to set limits on the use of natural gas. Some households will face gas shutdowns up to 16 hours a day.
One of the key ways to solve the problem of natural gas supplies to Pakistan is the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline project (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India). It is expected that he will allow Pakistan to receive more than 35 million cubic meters of gas per day.
