STADA will directly supply well-known over-the-counter drugs to Turkmenistan

The international pharmaceutical company STADA and the French company Sanofi have signed an agreement on the distribution of well-known over-the-counter drugs in 10 countries of the Eurasian region from April 2023, according to a press release from STADA.
STADA will supply Sanofi products to Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan directly, without intermediary countries.
Over-the-counter medications will include pain medications, therapeutic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, antifungal and antiallergic drugs that have previously gained wide popularity in the region.
"This cooperation makes STADA the undisputed leader in the Eurasia region. It is a great honor for us to become one of the key partners in this segment for pharmacists and consumers," said STADA Vice President Arminas Macevicius.
STADA will be responsible for local marketing, including adaptation of marketing communications and media planning. The head office of the Eurasian region of STADA remains in Almaty and will continue to be part of the European Markets division of the STADA Group.
Paul Martingell, Head of Consumer Healthcare Products in Europe at Sanofi, stressed: "We are pleased to continue interacting with patients and consumers in Eurasia through cooperation with STADA. We are confident that this will allow us to continue building strong brands and provide consumers in the region with access to our portfolio of trusted brands."
