Turkmenistan and EU agree to cooperate to reduce methane emissions


EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell held a bilateral meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Vepa Khadzhiev, head of the Turkmen delegation to the Conference on the Interconnectivity between the European Union and Central Asia: Global Gateway, which was held in Samarkand on Friday.
“We discussed with [Vice] Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Khadzhiev the importance of bilateral and regional cooperation and using the transformative power of the green and digital agenda to increase the benefits for our regions,” Borrell wrote on his Twitter account.

“We intend to continue cooperation in the field of reducing global methane emissions,” the head of European diplomacy also added to the commentary on the meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan.
