The World Philosophy Day was celebrated in IUHD

On November 17, the International University of Humanities and Development celebrated the World Philosophy Day, the celebration of which coincided with the grand opening of the Philosophical Club in this young, but already declared university. According to the results of 2022, IUHD was the first of the Turkmen universities to enter the top 100 of the prestigious international ranking among higher educational institutions in law - Nika Law School Ranking.

The organizers of the solemn event paid special attention to the section associated with the name of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fragi, to whom, as ORIENT has already reported, in accordance with the decision of the 39th meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY, 2024 will be dedicated in the Turkic countries.

As part of the celebration, students organized six thematic exhibitions in the lobby of the university, which included such sections as philosophy, ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, logic and psychology. Celebrating the double holiday in a fun and informative way, the students sang songs in Turkmen and English, including poems by Makhtumkuli, whose work was included in the golden fund of world poetry.

Holding such thematic events as the World Philosophy Day at an international university helps young people to find a common platform for discussing sociocultural transformations taking place in the world. Moreover, students now have a special place for such debates – the Philosophical Club.
