180 future Turkmen doctors study at Astrakhan Medical University
Astrakhan State Medical University trains 180 students from Turkmenistan in various specialties and directions, the official website of the Turkmen diplomatic mission reports following the meeting of the Consul of Turkmenistan Nury Golliev with the rector of the Astrakhan university Olga Bashkina.
At the moment, postgraduate training at the Russian university is also being conducted by resident doctors from Turkmenistan.
Following the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation and the holding of scientific and practical conferences, academic exchange, joint research and medical Olympiads.
Topical issues related to the training of Turkmen citizens at the Astrakhan State Medical University, which signed a memorandum on joint research activities with the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan in 2019, were also discussed.
