Ombudsman of Turkmenistan Yazdursun Gurbannazarova discussed human rights with colleagues from the CIS


The Commissioner for Human Rights in Turkmenistan Yazdursun Gurbannazarova discussed with her colleagues from the Commonwealth of Independent States the protection of human rights and interests of citizens during a meeting of the CIS Ombudsmen in the office of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth, the official website of the organization reports.
"Reliable protection of the rights and legitimate interests of our citizens largely depends on your effective work. Today, the need to unite the efforts of human rights commissioners and all state structures dealing with the problems of ensuring and protecting human rights in the Commonwealth is more obvious than ever," said Sergey Lebedev, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee.
Following the meeting, the parties noted their readiness to intensify cooperation in the field of human rights protection, taking into account the regional, national, cultural and historical specifics of the Member States.
