A meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Samarkand
In Samarkand, on the eve of the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG), a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OTG countries was held.
The event was attended by the heads of the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Hungary and the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, as well as the Secretary General of the OTG, and the heads of affiliated organizations – TURKSOY, TurkPA, the International Turkic Academy, the International Foundation of Turkic Culture and Heritage.
The head of the Turkmen delegation, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Berdyniyaz Myatiyev in his speech focused on trade and economic cooperation on the OTG platform, emphasizing the availability of opportunities for the development of both bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the Turkic countries in the fuel and energy, transport and communication spheres and in the industry sector, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The participants of the meeting exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda and cooperation within the Organization, and also reviewed draft documents submitted for signing during the summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held on Friday, November 11, in Samarkand.
The upcoming meeting of the leaders is designed to open up new horizons and prospects for practical cooperation between the Turkic countries. The landmark event of this event will be the adoption of the OTG Strategy for 2022-2026 as part of the implementation of the concept "Vision of the Turkic World 2040".
