The Engineering and Technology University has developed new technologies for growing mushrooms


Employees and students of the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan have developed new technologies for breeding a strain and growing fungi from mycelium using a substrate. They presented their developments and experimental results at the international exhibition "TurkmenTel-2022" in Ashgabat.
Mushrooms are grown in a specially equipped automated greenhouse built at the Institute of General and Applied Biology of the University. At the review, representatives of the university demonstrated a harvest of "oyster mushroom black tulip".
The university has developed new methods for breeding a pure strain and growing grain mycelium of fungi, as well as technology for manufacturing a nutrient substrate. Now the university is working on isolating strains and growing grain mycelium of honey mushrooms and champignons.
