Employees and students of the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan have developed new technologies for breeding a strain and growing fungi from mycelium using a substrate. They presented their developments and experimental results at the international exhibition "TurkmenTel-2022" in Ashgabat.

Mushrooms are grown in a specially equipped automated greenhouse built at the Institute of General and Applied Biology of the University. At the review, representatives of the university demonstrated a harvest of "oyster mushroom black tulip".

The university has developed new methods for breeding a pure strain and growing grain mycelium of fungi, as well as technology for manufacturing a nutrient substrate. Now the university is working on isolating strains and growing grain mycelium of honey mushrooms and champignons.
