Transport and trade are the main topics of the summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand


Issues related to the development of trade, as well as the simplification of processes related to customs and transport services, the formation of new transport corridors, will be among the main topics of the summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held this week, November 11, in Samarkand.
This was discussed at a briefing at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dedicated to the agenda of this large-scale and important political event.
They also spoke about a solid package of documents that is planned to be signed following the summit, including agreements on cooperation in the field of transport and improving the internal structure of the Organization.
At the same time, the main document of the upcoming summit is the Samarkand Declaration, which will also be adopted following its results.
At the summit, Uzbekistan will take over the chairmanship of the Organization, and Turkmenistan is also expected to become a member.
To date, the Organization of Turkic States includes: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, while Turkmenistan and Hungary have the status of observer states.
