The Energy Institute has proposed an innovative project for the electrification of settlements


Specialists of the Research and Production Center "Renewable Energy Sources" at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan have prepared proposals for innovative electrification of 14 settlements and several objects of the State Border Service of the country.
This became known during an interdepartmental meeting on energy efficiency of residential quarters, organized by the municipalities of Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi, as well as specialists in this field and teachers of the Energy Institute, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper writes.
The meeting, which was also attended by representatives of the hotel business, discussed the possibility of using combined solar and wind power plants with a capacity of 10 MW in the emerging recreation area near the lake "Altyn Kel" in the north of Ashgabat.
Businessmen, in turn, proposed to ensure energy efficiency through the introduction of modern equipment for economical air conditioning and lighting in the hotels of the national tourist zone "Avaza".
