China introduces the world community to innovative Chinese villages
Representatives of the world's media and bloggers popular on social networks are taking part in the international media tour A Date with China, in which they get acquainted with China through Zhejiang Province, which has made an innovative breakthrough, China Daily writes.
The participants of the media tour were impressed by the development of the province, the main goal of which is to become one of the world leaders in the field of high technology.
After the opening ceremony, the tour group went to the village of Xueshuigan, where they got acquainted with the unique intellectual infrastructure introduced there.
The village was the first in the province to make a complete transition from the use of firewood to electricity, which reduced the consumption of timber by about 8.6 tons and reduced emissions of sulfur oxides by 0.36 tons per year.
During the four-day media tour, the members of the tourist group will visit other cities and villages of the province, where they will get acquainted with the factories of the future, local communities, digital villages, smart parks, and other sites.
