Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov: Turkmenistan for strengthening economic cooperation with Russia
Chairman of the upper house of the Turkmen parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov said that Turkmenistan stands for strengthening economic cooperation with Russia, its rise to a qualitatively new level.
This topic was touched upon by the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, speaking at a meeting of the Federation Council of the RF, TASS reports.
"We have always advocated strengthening trade and economic ties between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, that is, for giving a new quality and bringing these relations to the level of a multifunctional economic partnership, where investment, financial, technological components would play a key role," Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
The Chairman of the upper chamber of the Turkmen parliament called the trade and economic relations between Ashgabat and Moscow one of the most important areas of strategic partnership.
