Chairman of the upper house of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov identified the main aspects of joint Turkmen-Russian interparliamentary cooperation during a meeting with Chairman of the Federation Council of Russia Valentina Matvienko, TDH reports.
The head of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan called priority areas of cooperation such aspects as strengthening the internal political stability of the two countries, creating a firm legislative barrier to manifestations of extremism and radicalism, attempts to discredit state foundations, resisting attempts to introduce false values and meanings into public consciousness.
In this context, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of carrying out explanatory work among boys and girls in order to form patriotism and pride in belonging to the country, adding the possibility of using the interparliamentary mechanism of youth interaction.
